MILKMATE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FAQs For Users
MilkMate is a service, meaning that the MilkMate team monitors and replenishes the single-use recyclable kits, ensuring the station remains fully stocked at all times. Help us help you! As a MilkMate user, your role is to download the MilkMate app to log the breast shield kits you use during each session. This is how the MilkMate team keeps track of each use so they know when to replenish the station.
While we anticipate smooth operation of all our pumps, MilkMate maintains an extra pump at each location as a precaution. For any troubleshooting or support-related questions, you can always contact the MilkMate team.
MilkMate provides size 21mm, 24mm, 27mm, 30mm and 36mm breast shield kits, and size 15mm, 17mm, 19mm and 21mm inserts to be used in conjunction with our size 27mm breast shield kits. If you need another size, please reach out to the MilkMate team.
Yes, please! Downloading the MilkMate app and scanning the QR code on your MilkMate station after each use of a breast shield kit is the one requirement that we have for you as a MilkMate user. This is a key part of our inventory tracking process so we know when kits are running low and can send a restock. In addition, there are fun ‘daily drop’ questions on the app and it’s an easy way to contact customer support should you have questions. Finally, there are more app features coming soon… and we always welcome your feedback and suggestions as we continue to iterate.
Because MilkMate’s kits are pre-assembled and pre-sterilized, there’s always a chance the parts may become loose in transit. If you feel the suction isn’t working properly with your kit, check to ensure that all the components of the breast shield kit are secured. Specifically, we recommend confirming the membrane is securely sealed before each pumping session to prevent any delays or performance problems once you begin pumping. (If you don’t’ know what the membrane piece is, check the packaging for a graphic). If problems persist, please reach out to MilkMate’s customer support for further assistance or watch the ‘Troubleshooting Tips’ video linked above.
