MilkMate Partners with rePurpose Global to Combat Plastic Pollution

New York, NY – MilkMate, a leading brand committed to enhancing the breast-pumping at work experience, has announced a partnership with rePurpose Global, the world’s leading platform for circular solutions, to address global plastic pollution.  This collaboration brings together MilkMate’s dedication to taking care of all mothers, including Mother Nature, and rePurpose Global’s expertise in verified plastic recovery.

MilkMate will recover over 8,000 pounds of ocean-bound plastic with rePurpose Global by June 2025, supporting a joint vision to build a more circular, inclusive and waste-free economy for our planet.  “Our partnership with rePurpose Global underscores our commitment to environmental responsibility; and creating a cleaner, healthier future for generations to come.” says Patrice Meagher, CEO and Founder of MilkMate, “Our Plastic Recovery Pledge means we are taking steps to combat plastic pollution, and working with rePurpose Global means we can have a verifiable impact on our planet’s ecosystems.”

Through this partnership, MilkMate is not only tackling the plastic waste crisis, but also supporting social and environmental outcomes in regions heavily impacted by plastic pollution. rePurpose Global’s impact projects have recovered over 65 million pounds of nature-bound plastic waste to date; and provide fairer, safer, and more dignified opportunities for waste workers.

“We are thrilled to partner with MilkMate in our collective mission to combat plastic pollution and drive transformational change,” says Svanika

Balasubramanian, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at rePurpose Global. “We know that MilkMate shares our commitment to sustainable action. Together, we are working towards a fairer and cleaner future where plastic waste is no longer a threat to our environment and communities.”

As part of the partnership, MilkMate will support rePurpose Global’s work in Kerala, India. The project focuses on recovering plastic waste from vulnerable communities, protecting marine ecosystems, and improving waste management infrastructure for the local community. With 98% of the waste warriors on rePurpose Global’s project in Kerala being women, MilkMate feels strongly mission-aligned with this work.
